Key To A Radiant Complexion

Did you know that the key to a radiant complexion is good circulation?

In addition to providing baby soft skin, dry brushing stimulates the lymphatic system, improves circulation and helps the body eliminate toxins. One third of your body’s toxins are excreted through the skin, so along with other organs the skin works continuously to prevent the accumulation of toxins in the body.

Dry brushing can also improve your general health. Typical health issues that can arise through a build-up of toxins include sallow skin, fatigue, headache, muscle aches and joint pain. Daily dry brushing can prevent such symptoms. After a few weeks of brushing daily you will definitely notice a difference in both your skin and your health.

Dry brushing also improves the appearance of cellulite, provides an amazing energy boost and is quick and easy to do before jumping in the shower!  A perfect pick-me-up on those dark and cold winter mornings. No wonder we become hooked!

How to:

Use a natural bristle brush, preferably with a long handle that can reach all areas of your body.

Begin with the soles of the feet and work your way up the legs, with sweeping strokes towards the heart.

Cellulite-prone areas such as the upper thighs and buttocks can be brushed a little firmer.

Then work your way up each arm, starting with your fingertips

Take care as you brush over more sensitive areas, like breasts. Your skin will become less sensitive the more you dry brush.

Once you've brushed your entire body, jump in the shower. Try alternating between the hottest water temperature and the coldest. This will also stimulate blood circulation leaving you feeling refreshed and renewed.

Pat dry your skin after showering and apply a body oil. For a skin that feels more toned and energised, we recommend  ISUN Citrus & Spice... A stunning aromatic blend of citrus and spice essential oils.

    With love
