Body brushing has been around for centuries to help keep the skin & body healthy.
Typical health issues that can arise from a build-up of toxins in the body include sallow skin, fatigue, headache, muscle aches and joint pain. Daily dry brushing can help prevent such symptoms.
Dry brushing also stimulates the oil glands which protect the skin and increase the skin's health, suppleness and elasticity. In addition to providing healthy, baby soft skin, dry brushing stimulates the lymphatic system, improves circulation and helps the body eliminate toxins, making it extremely beneficial for anyone with cellulite, water retention, or swollen legs after a long flight or a day of standing.
How to dry brush:
Use a natural bristle brush, preferably with a long handle that can reach all areas of your body.
Begin with the soles of the feet and work your way up the legs, with sweeping strokes towards the heart.
Cellulite-prone areas such as the upper thighs and buttocks can be brushed a little firmer.
Then work your way up each arm, starting with your fingertips
Take care as you brush over more sensitive areas.
Once you've brushed your entire body, jump in the shower and try alternating between the hottest water temperature to the coldest. This will also stimulate blood circulation leaving you feeling refreshed and renewed.
Pat dry skin after showering and apply a body oil or lotion. For a skin that feels more toned and energised, we recommend Citrus & Spice Body Oil. A stunning aromatic blend of citrus and spice essential oils.
